Is this some take on when the first born child was passed through the fire?.. yahweh having a tantrum when his people ..the tribe of Jacob didn't want to be circumcised men and women to identify them like cattle..as belonging to Yahweh and to decrease sexual pleasure and also wanted to be governed by other Elohim so as a punishment they were passed through the fire..this went on until 7th century BC when it was changed to a ransom.

So now they sacrifice the child's gender?
