What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
My Western Digital MyCloud backup device I purchased during the lockdown in order to keep having my data safe whilst away from town died a few weeks after its guarantee was over. I am never getting anything again from WD.
I used to work in local comp store and a majority of the hd failures were WD, but i would presume its the originals and the oems had contracts with WD. some HP models have/had cheap hitatchi drives and they failed as much as WD but quicker.
On a slight side note, per a company that does data recovery in ATL the ssd recovery rate is around 50% vice mechanical drives of 70-80%. If you data is important suggest multiple backups.
