Here's a what if and it's probably an uncomfortable idea, what if blackrock and vanguard falls under Trump's EO of 'foreign interference of US voting', and has been seized or will be seized under white hat control?

BR and V are being used to suck up the anti US interests in it's wake of buying everything on the dollar?

It solves a huge headache.
