Anonymous isn’t an organization, anyone can claim they are anonymous or send messages as anonymous. It is simply a veil for anyone to use.
As such, messages “from anonymous” should force people to do what they already ought: listen to the actual message and analyze it without an appeal to authority.
This board, like most of humanity, has an obsession with “who said it” rather than “what was said.” If you are a critical thinker, it doesn’t matter who said a thing, only whether or not the thing that was said is true or false, which can be discerned on its own.
Again, there is no “they.” Assume each message from “anonymous” comes from a different person or group with different ideologies and goals. Sometimes those who use the “anonymous” brand will do things you agree with, and sometimes they won’t. Probably the latter more often.
It started as a 4chan meme.
Just to reiterate, I could literally go make an “anonymous” video that states the 2020 election was rigged, DJT is the proper elected President, and the democrats have a reckoning coming. It would be just as valid of an authority, because there is no one to say who is and isn’t in anonymous, hence the name.
I repeat: the message is always more important than the messenger. To accept someone’s word because you like them is as foolish to disregard that of those you don’t. Determine if what is said is good or true on its own merit.
