There are two timelines. In one I jump in a time machine. In the other, I fly in the plane. The guy in the second timeline paid for the ticket. I just jumped into his timeline.

Time Machines don't create new timelines, they simply travel through existing ones.

There are different kind of time machine. The one that travel through existing ones have too many obvious fallacies. So people explore the time machines moving to different time lines.
