This is probably old stock footage. By state law bassinets can’t be that close. The only time we ever did that in the nursery is when media asked for a close up shot of several babies for a news segment. We got permission to bring babies to the nursery or used a cohort of babies in the nursery already for various reasons (mother’s request). Over the past 10 years, rooming in was encouraged for safety and for breastfeeding mothers to respond quickly to hunger cues. This pic most likely was old stock film.
