They were winning from the outset, CNN et al. just refused to cover it. Russian forces have faced only minor and inconveniencing setbacks, which is to be expected in any military action. But the main thrust has been very successful for Russian forces and I believe from what I gather from other sources that Russia has achieved most or all of its objectives.
Yes, I keep track. I just posted about a chemical weapons plant evacuated thanks God chem weapons not used.
