I know a couple of those hippie types of which you speak. They are outdoorsy, but they're also completely dependent on a properly running supply chain to keep their local Whole Foods stocked with their special tofu pemmican. I don't know if they'd be able to pull it off for long once SHTF, but at least we'll all smell them coming and be able to escape before they get too close.

Indeed. Their idea of camping is sitting in lawn chairs sipping on IPAs while listening to Dave Matthews Band. Survival skills? Hardly. Vegans don’t hunt or fish.
