I don't watch TV
Let that sink in.
Same here. Got rid of cable years ago.
And I take no drugs. Most persons my age - yeah I'm a Boomer - take at least a half dozen pills by the time they are 50. Not me. I find natural and lifestyle ways to keep that Big Pharma garbage out of my system. My doctor is amazed that my husband and I don't even consider drugs for every ache and pain. Not that we see our doctor often because we're healthy.
I haven’t had a “doctor” for 20 years. They can’t “cure” anything. They only manage decline with drugs. No thanks.
I agree. Sadly most doctors are die-hard Big Pharma-supporters. Not all, mind you. There are some decent doctors still out there who don't prescribe drugs at the drop of a hat. Just hard to find. Our Doc says he gets requests from patients all the time to put them on this or that. TV commercials most likely had a hand in that.
We go every 2 years for a check-up because my husband's health insurance requires this.
Our doctor did diagnose my husband's skin cancer on his back about 7 years ago. It was removed and hasn't come back.
Because of the cancer, my husband mostly gave up sugar - which feeds cancer cells - and now only has sweets at holidays. He says he feels so much better once he gave up daily sodas, cookies and candy. Fortunately, I don't miss daily sweets either as I love free-range eggs, chicken, grass-fed meat, veggies and savory stuff.
I just discovered kefir. This is an amazing pro-biotic. IMO much better than yogurt.
That's good stuff!
