Being a doctor is like being part of a verrrrrry dangerous gang. Your “jumping in” is med school, residency, fellowship, and all associated debt. Good sleep is rare, money is tight, stress unbelievably high. Once you’re finally a full Doctor, you find out that you will practice as you are TOLD or you lose everything. Maybe even your life if you stray too far from the canned messaging. After giving up such a significant portion of time and treasure, many sell their souls and just do what they’re told to keep the lifestyle they’ve attained.
