"Most of history" doesn't make it right, and it's what lead to the present situation with pedos running world gov, corporations, etc.
And the only people attracted to minors now are pedos - everyone knows that they're immature and unable to consent. Perhaps there's a moral difference difference between 'consenting to a marriage' and 'consenting to sex', in that there's benefits to marriage and sex between spouses but not sex outside of marriage - but the point is moot, in our society the only people interested in that age bracket (who are outside of that age bracket) are rapists who would go as low-aged as they're able.
Also keep in mind that for 'most of history' (last 4,000 years or so) people have been living 30-45 years so people had to get married younger - now adult women have 22 years where they can reliably have children and another 50+ years to raise, advise, help raise grandkids, etc. and there's years more knowledge and education required to be learned in order to function properly in society - a 15 year old mother from the past used to need to know how to sew, cook, clean, butcher and pluck a chicken, raise children, etc. but nowadays she has to know how society works, how to use the internet, how to file paperwork with the government, how to discern truth from lies how to keep her children safe from evil, how to research at an academic level (just to stay alive from poisons), how to drive and a thousand other things.
Also, if 15 year olds and 14 year old girls were allowed to marry now they'd become completely dependant slaves on their husband's and few of those husbands would be upstanding spouses.
It's much better for society to have a higher age of consent. You could perhaps allow 14-18 to do a course, marry if they're within 12 months of age With both parents' permission, and a viable means of supporting themselves, but even if you did that, it should by Far be the exception not the rule.
I don't think "nature" intended anything, but certainly looks like God intended what you're saying.
Good points, and I do think that 17, 18, etc young adults Can be mature, but there's just no expectation of it and in fact we promote immaturity in our youth..
