Seriously... If they had that kind of money laying around they wouldn't need to cross the boarder.

I think the deal is pay an upfront fee, pay back the rest when inside the country and the family left behind is collateral for any people looking to skip out on payments. And you know they work deals to bring add'l people and drugs to shave off a few bucks from the smuggling fee
