I've read nearly all of his books, except the urban one, and seen both of these movies.
They're all excellent, fascinating and a bit terrifying. My family has started following all of his recommendations when we go hiking to stay safe and sound.
What recommendations? Large enough group? Make sure armed?
(Amazingly enough, here in Denver - I think it was Lakewood - a woman was raped just off the trail in a busy park/open space. She managed to fight free and I believe a passerby caught the rapist and held him for arrest, IIRC. It was like 20 feet off the trail in the brush, something ridiculous like that, right under people's noses.)
