Something I noticed when I read President Trump's latest TS post. He does not use the shorthand version of the ellipsis "..." which is three consecutive periods, he uses the actual ellipsis "…"

Truth Social: 108583385700082431 So Cassidy Hutchinson was all set and ready to go to Florida with the Trump Team long after January 6th. She knew I did nothing wrong. She was a big Trump fan - but my people didn’t want her. What happened? Why did she so dramatically change? All lies. I guess even she didn’t believe her own bull….!
Short story, searched QAGG and found over 250 Q posts with the same exact "…." an ellipsis followed by a period. Maybe more people are using the actual ellipsis these days? Could this be an unintended(?) proof, may just be too early and I need caffeine?
Is the ellipsis a different Unicode point than a period? If so then look at how does one typically create an ellipsis, particularly on a mobile device?
I'm really not sure about on a mobile, I mainly use my phone mainly to talk to people and I do most of my online communications on a desktop. In Windoze I press ALT+0133 to get an ellipsis.
