I just thought about the precipitous rise in adhd and realize it’s because they are basically letting teachers diagnose kids because they dont have the skills or ability to do what teachers used to do—teach.
Now it’s not about math and reading because they have cried about standards and the ability to hold them accountable. In return they are now ushering all these transformers.
The same assholes who push Ritalin are now pushing trans.
Be careful with your absolutist language. Not all teachers, in fact I would argue the vast majority, think as you describe.
Many of us understand the root causes of these issues, but are powerless to affect change upon them. Teachers do not diagnose these conditions, doctors do with occasional anecdotes from the teachers regarding the observed behaviors and mannerisms of the children in question.
As always, these doctors get it entirely wrong. They think drugging kids is the solution to the ADHD epidemic. They are paid off by Big Pharma to push their drugs on society at all stages of life. Drugging children is very important to their agenda. If they can hook children on pharma drugs at an early age, they have customers for life.
ADHD is euphemistic language for dopamine withdrawal. It is another easily curable condition that doctors opt to prescribe medication for rather than deal with the root of the problem. Consider the that ADHD came into prominence during the 80s and 90s. Correlate the rise in ADHD with other societal trends, and you will find that high fructose corn syrup and caffeine became much more prevalent and widely accessed by our nation's youth during this time.
The condition known as ADHD is self inflicted and cyclically sustaining.
Children go to bed with high levels of caffeine and sugar in their blood.
Children get poor sleep, and are unable to enter REM sleep at all. This sleep is the most necessary for healing and especially development at such a young age.
Children wake up exhausted from the lack of sleep. What do they eat? Sugary cereal and caffeinated beverages. Even those children who eat at the school are subject to the school milk that contains more sugar per box than a bottle of soda pop.
Children arrive in the classroom and immediately begin experiencing one of two things.
4A. Earlier in the day, children who consumed high amounts of sugar and caffeine will be bouncing off the walls. They will be in possession of chaotic and unfocused energy. Adults who consume caffeine and sugar learn how to marginally manage that chaos and still be productive. Children do not have the skill sets necessary for that focus.
4B. Later in the day, children who consumed high amounts of sugar and caffeine will be experiencing the hard crash that occurs after the drugs have worn off. Without supplementing additional sugar and caffeine into their bodies, these children also might start feeling the first signs of withdrawal. They might get irritable, restless, and easily distracted. Some children might externalize this with aggression even.
So how do you, as a parent, break this cycle? The answer is diet. Eat like your grandparents ate. Take the "food pyramid" and flip it on its head and you'll have the right idea. Understand that simply carbohydrates break down into sugar in the body almost immediately upon being digested.
Keep your children away from high fructose corn syrup. HFCS is like the crack cocaine of sugar. It is in nearly all prepackaged foods that are intended for quick consumption. Even if your children are not drinking soda pop, they still might be consuming a comparable amount of HFCS from other hidden sources. Learn to read labels.
Keep your children away from caffeinated drinks. I believe caffeine should be treated like alcohol and nicotine. Children who are developing their brains have no business consuming such a powerful stimulant. It can do great damage to a child's sleep cycle, and sleep is extremely important for developing children.
Nearly all school aged mental conditions can be cured permanently through dietary changes. If I had a child with these focus issues, I would put them on a lazier form of the ketogenetic diet. I'd increase their protein and fat in their diet, and ensure they are getting adequate vitamins and minerals from fruits and salads. In my opinion, this would in all likelihood cure their mental issues up.
Reading and writing may be the responsibility of the classroom teachers, but diet is the prerogative of parents at the home.
You know the score. God Bless you, Teach.
Yeah not saying all teachers just assumed we could all understand that
