Nope, I disagree. It's always been the 4th of July in my lifetime & that is music to my ears. I really don't like people constantly trying to change our traditions.
You mean the tradition of not calling it what it is, Independence Day?
It's pretty much been 4th of July as long as I can remember as well, but that we're celebrating Independence Day.
With all that's going on currently, I think we should get back to not calling out happy month/day but rather for what's the reason behind the celebration.
I'd be surprised if there wasn't a good many people that didn't know what July 4th celebrates.
I disagree. President Trump said, Happy 4th of July today on Truth. Is he "woke"? My 85 year old mother greeted me this morning with Happy 4th of July. Is she part of the woke/cancel culture?
I, for one, LOVE our American traditions. Americans aren't imbeciles that can't figure out that the 4th of July is our independence day.
If it wasn't for Google maps, how many could even find their state on a US map?
This has nothing to do with tradition, I'm not saying don't cookout, or don't watch fireworks (which are made in China BTW) Just suggesting to put the "reason for the season" back into it.

Imbeciles? No. Ignorant, yes.
