My memory has been filled with a lot of stuff since I last looked into this. Evidently, there was a local fairy tale/legend that had something to do with the mountain, a tunnel, and a goat... Something about tricking the devil...

I'm not saying this isn't creepy as heck, because it is, but I think it was based on a creepy, old story.

Imagine, if you will, a modern adaptation of Hansel and Gretel. That could get pretty damn creepy, if you ask me. hehe
