I like Rogan, and I like watching his podcast, but one thing I've noticed with him is that it's real hard to sway his opinion on anything. He usually prepares for his shows and does his homework regarding his guests fairly well. And he usually only has guests on that he already knows or has met in the past. The rest of the guests are people who have wrote books that he's read, liked/loved, and agrees with the sentiments proposed in those books. And almost all of them don't like Trump.
The only reason why he would not have the time to research on POTUS45 is because he doesn't want to. He's scared of Hollyweird going after him if he even has Trump on, good or bad. He's scared of losing shit tons of supporters, fans, and subscribers if he has Trump on and gives him a fair shake, or if he blasts him to his face for 1 1/2 hrs. His fan base is thaaat diverse. It's not something that makes much sense to him from a business standpoint. A lot of those fans are also UFC fans that would call for his firing, or would boycott the UFC, or both. Nevermind what Dana White's position on Trump is. Rogan's fucked, either way.
Lastly, if you've followed Rogan for more than a few years you'd see little comments, slights of you will, being made to multiple guests. There's too many to name, but Randall Carlson, Elon Musk, Jordan Peterson, Graham Hancock, Jocko Willink are some. I think Neil Degrasse Tyson, but I'm not sure. I think when he had Gabbard and Willink on together there were some things Rogan said that were kind of, let's say"weird" regarding Trump. He doesn't have anything nice to say about [Hussein], Buyden, Bush, Cheney, etc, but he doesn't have anything nice to say about Trump and his politics, either. He thinks Trump is an idiot. He's flat out said that on more than one podcast. And he's said it's all rigged, it's all bullshit, and until someone better is willing to stand up, we're basically fucked. His ideal ticket would be Gabbard/Willink. He's said that straight to both of their faces when he had them both on. It was the whole reason behind that show. So...
He doesn't have people on his shows he thinks are idiots. And because Trump is so polarizing, he's not willing to risk losing half or more of his own following. And he's not willing to risk losing his UFC or Spotify (or whatever it is) gig, either. He has a family to think about. So he won't ever have Tump on. Ever.
I feel like he's either a shill, intellectually dishonest, both or worse. He becomes really shifty when Lex pushes him on it and I'm not sure his arguments stand up. Trump doesn't drink or do drugs! I don't have the time to research.. yeah right..
Smart Title also, OP - had me watch until the end.
Goal achieved. 👍
