I understand from other sources that the Earth goes through several cycles of temperature.
We are currently in an ice age, which is lasted over 2 million years. This ice age has been the 3rd coldest in the past 500 million years. We don't recognize it as such because we happen to be living within an interglacial period within the ice age, which started about 10,000 years ago (when the Woolly Mammoths went extinct and humans had to figure out something else, which was the invention of agriculture). There are glacial periods, when much of the Earth is covered with ice, and then interglacials when the ice recedes back to the poles (mostly the North Pole, as the greatest effect has been in the North).
More recently, there has been a series of 300-year cycles within the larger cycles, and a 30-year cycle within that. From 1940-1970, there was global cooling, which is why they were sounding the alarm in the 1970's about "Global Cooling and the coming Ice Age!"
But by around 1980, they realized all their predictions were wrong and the Earth was warming. That's because from 1970-2000 there was a new 30-year cycle. That's why in the 1980's and 1990's, they came up with the "alarming Global Warming" nonsense, complete with the Greenhouse Gases theory that proved false.
Again, by the early 2000's, they realized they were wrong (again) and the Earth was cooling again (due to yet another shift back to cooling, which will last 2000-2030, approximately). That's when then just switched it to "Climate Change," so that way they could pretend to be right no matter what.
But they are never right. ALL of their models are wrong, because they refuse to acknowledge that the Sun controls it, and the Earth has natural responses to anything thrown at it, including any human inputs.

I listened to an Australian Sky News interview with a scientist who study's climate, and he was adamant that the earth is currently 0.3c below the average for the last 80yrs. He said that those that thought the same were essentially not welcome within the community and had effectivly been struck off.
The ice is GROWING at the fasted rate for a long time, but they tend to keep it quiet, along with their bullsheit hole in the Ozone layer, which again is almost gone.
And yes, those of us alive during the 1970's remember the endless fear mongering about how by the year 2000 an ice age would be on those in the UK and Northern Europe with the North sea being frozen over!
