Could the "Trust Kansas" have been a reference to The Wizard of OZ book/movie? As in, trust the original idea of America and the design of the country rather than the delusion of what we have now. Yellow Brick Road -Gold will destroy the Fed- wake up Dorothy? IDK, just questioning and musing on the keys. As for Pompeo, we probably won't know until the end which side he was on...
