Not to argue, but it's always been visible, just not obvious. I think what is getting revealed is the people who have bowed down to evil, but masqueraded as good people, with help from the MSM. Like most RINOs - they talk a good game, but 2 years into office you're wondering who these people are, and why they are so ineffective.
Evil is not rising, imo, it's being revealed to the world. It's always been here and hiding in the darkness.
