Being a young man at the time, I'm 100% sure that at least Britney's skirt was plaid.
It was pleated that much I remember. Bc the catholic uniforms were pleated. So either way the black one doesn’t seem pleated. Weird

There's something about the blackness of the skirt. It's too flat, it looks digitally imposed. If she had been wearing a black skirt there would still be shadows being cast about and light reflecting from even the black material. It's such a flat pure black, I think we're being psyop'd.
I remember them Black, thinking it was odd they didn't go with the traditional plaid.
Only reason it has remained in my cranial cavity was because it was not what I considered the norm.

I want to say most likely plaid bc of the school girl vibe and I remember plaid being everywhere during that time. But tbh I can’t say for sure. Memory is a funny thing. The truth is most people don’t pay that much attn to detail and we fill in the blanks a lot of the times.
The only one I’m def sus about is berenstein bear. First off I knew nothing about Jewish last names or anything about that as I was a fucking kid but I still read it as “stein”. But Berenstain? I don’t know a lot of “stain” suffixes. Maybe I’m just uninformed.
