What if what we call the Mandela effect is simply extremely skilled gaslighting by Big Tech or some Government agency, with the goal to make us question what we remember and what is true and our own sanity to destabilize the population and distract us?
It would be incredibly easy in this largely tech based world to accomplish this.
And the goal of narcissist gaslighting is essentially the same thing, to make people believe that they are going nuts.
Idk, i can totally see it. BTW i sent the Brittney dress post to my ex wife, who was a huge Brittney fan, and she said it was 100% plaid in her recollection.
It's real, not done by deception. I have two personal examples. 1st is the James Bond "moonraker" movie with the old Lurch from Adam's family playing "jaws". When he meets his blond girlfriend they connect because they both have braces on their teeth. She's not bad looking and he's a goon, there is no other reason she would connect with him. So the scene I remember vividly is them looking at each other, him smiling and showing his grill and then she smiling with a hideous set of braces. That movie no longer shows her with braces at all and according to the actress/director, that scene never existed. But no one can explain that scene and why a good looking girl was attracted to jaws in it. It makes zero sense without the braces. The 2nd is the spelling of the Berenstein Bears, which I used to read to my daughter all the time back in the mid 2000's.
You're not crazy. I remember that from Moonraker, too. And the bears, although I remember reading once that it was an intentional change.
Digging into Sandy Hook, it seems they changed the year on that. Some of the anons here have archived stuff to show it.
Wait, what? Thought it was 2012.
You have to look through the Sandy Hook stuff to find it. But it's there in the summaries and the comments. I was late to the Sandy Hook stuff, don't have any sources, just learned about it here, and the year change kind of stood out.
Yeah I read those as a kid with my parents so that one kind of confounds my theory also
