Dude, it's literally CP possession, they're not going to believe that everyone is a journalist trying to do the greater good.

Remember who investigates child porn cases. The FBI and state bureaus. They aren't your friend, and they will gladly kick your door in.

That being said, you are unlikely to get caught regardless, but if you do, you're setting yourself up for some serious trouble. Potentially sex crime charges and lifetime sex offender registry.
