There was some ammunition neatly arranged on the windowsill of the Schoolbook Repository that day however, it did not fit the rifle they later found in that room.
An FBI man was asked if Oswald's fingerprints were on the rifle. Said FBI man took the rifle to the morgue where Oswald was being kept and when he returned he affirmed that Oswald's thumbprint was on the rifle.
Just a thought, but if you wanted to shoot at a target, would you want to fire as the target was travelling almost directly towards you or would you wait until you had to lean right out of the window so you could point your rifle to the right while the target was travelling across your line of sight?
That thought is something that has stuck with me for years. He had a totally clear and easy shot when the Kennedy motorcade was coming directly toward the TSBD, but he waited until the car was moving away, going downhill, exiting the area? It makes no sense and greatly decreased the odds of a hit.
However, the other shooters who were in the building to the left of the TSBD had a clear shot as did the man hiding in the drain just where the driver slowed the car right down. Allegedly!
