What the hell happened to this guy? He was “the future of the Republican Party” in 2015. Now completely forgotten. Is he still a senator?

I remember during the 2016 primary debates when he was still in the game. He kind of broke and got stuck repeating a memorized phrase 3 times in a row while answering a question. He looked like an MK Ultra victim that misfired. I found that too disturbing to ever consider him for anything important ever after. Below is the clip where he gets stuck:

I remember just watching in awe that fatass Chris Christy dissected Rubio on live television. I'm still impressed to this day.
