Bear in mind that there is nuance in how comms are used. In one context they can mean one thing.

English words are the same.

The word "get" can have tons of different meanings based on context. Comms are no different.

Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic is hoping US authorities change entry rules in time to allow him to compete at the US Open, even though he refuses to be vaccinated against coronavirus.

Well, this would explain why we keep hearing about DJokovic. I'd never heard of him until the dust-up in Australia. I wonder if there's also a subtle diss to DJT in this: D-joke-ovic?

I was reading over my post from last night about the penguins and the vending machine. If you want Cheezy Dibbles (if you want something from D.C.) all you have to do is put a coin (money) into the "machine" to get what you want. Whoever gets their money in first gets first "dibs" (Dibbles) on whatever it is they want.
