Oh, well you know, there's precedent for this. Like during the Gulf War middle eastern nations legalized and celebrated gay unions.

The USA did it during World War II alongside Germany and Japan, ironically.

In fact, I think Germany did it during World War I, too.

So clearly the first sane reaction to a war is to give the gays their way.
