If it isn't pink it isn't cured.
Country ham is deep, burgundy red, not pink. It is certainly cured.

Aside from that, I was not being entirely serious. It is a lot better than city ham, though, but is an acquired taste. As in, "Oh, no! We're having city ham for dinner!"
