Have a parent on fixed income that uses insulin daily. Due to the inflation and the increase in the cost of insulin, he’s having a harder and harder time affording it. $357 per month for just the insulin at Walmart when it used to be nearly free under trump. Anyone have any ideas on what he can do or where he could look to get a better price? I know this isn’t the typical type of post on this site, but I love him and want to help- and you guys are the smartest ppl I know

If you switch the type of insulin, it can be much cheaper. They have insulin vials at $25 each for Novolin R. You have to inject about 30 minutes in advance, and the effectiveness occurs over a different time curve, but once you get the hang of it, you can certainly make it work. Good luck!
