Every single object that NASA has just released images for except for the deep sky field can be seen with a backyard telescope just not as detailed. The difference in resolution between the telescope I had as a kid and my 16" with CCD imaging is in a direct line with the capabilities of the Hubble and now the James Webb.
Can a regular telescope see billions of light years away?
Apart from the galaxies in the deep sky field, all of the other objects in the recent series of James Webb images are located within the Milky Way Galaxy and easily seen with a backyard telescope. In fact the Carina Nebula is visible with the naked eye. If you don't believe me do a Google image search for Stephen's Quintet and you can find dozens of amateur images although obviously as not as detailed as the James Webb was able to resolve. And the answer to your question is yes. You can see quasar 3C273 with the naked eye which is 2 billion light-years away.
yep, just like those remnants of apollo missions that everyone SAYS can be seen with a backyard telescope.....lol
No one except an idiot would claim that you can see the remnants of the Apollo missions with a backyard or even the most powerful Earth based telescope.
The Moon is 380,000km from the Earth (about 10 times the length of the Equator). The apparent diameter that the Moon looks from the Earth is about the same as the diameter of Australia would appear if you were looking at it from the Moon, while the Earth would appear four times larger than the Moon appears from Earth.
To claim that you could see the remnants of the Apollo missions such as the descent landers would be like saying if you were on the Moon looking at Earth with a backyard telescope you could see objects the size of small cars in Australia.
As I said, you'd have to be extremely stupid to claim that you can see Apollo mission remnants from the Earth. However, remnants of the Apollo missions have been photographed numerous times over the last fifty years by orbiting lunar probes from multiple nations including the Russians and Chinese who would love to disprove the Moon landing theories espoused by crackpots but nevertheless have provided photographic evidence that they took place.
