I have read studies that women see over 400 colors, while men seem to recognize less than half that. Women tend to track styles, colors and decorative hobbies; few men do. We focus on woodwork, firearms, farming, hard sciences. We are fundamentally different
So I call the shots on material types, structurally stability, durability; and she can pick the color, texture and general shape. She has a care about street appeal and the different “profiles”. I care about the bones
So it works out
Yep. It's best when partners have different strengths and weaknesses like that. Hubby and I are like that.
I'd been watching House Hunters or some similar show and I guess thinking about it, it's when the women on there were the ones that couldn't "see" the potential that it stood out for me. Or they would come in and say something like "This kitchen needs to be gutted, it's so outdated" and I'm yelling at the TV like an idiot.. "Those cabinets are still being sold today! you stupid... " etc. Just because something isn't their style, doesn't make it outdated or needing to be wasted. But that's a whole other off subject rant..lol
Oh, also, the farming thing. Hubby has his tractor and I garden. They aren't the same..lol
