The OIG offices are there to inspect wherever a govt'l wrongdoing has occured and isn't subject to the "typical" declassification review processes we have. By nature of the position, the OIG has clearance to see whatever they need to see in order to make a ruling, make recommendations for the avoidance of future bureaucratic "mistakes," and mette out a punishment to current wrongdoers. They have oversight of EVERYTHING in the Fed's bureaucracy and are supposed to be given access to whatever info they need, regardless of what any agency thinks they should get. Seems there's a cover up afoot. Whether this decision was made by a W.H. or B.H. remains to be seen, but you can bet next week's paycheck that Trump will be blamed.
