I was shocked this morning at my semi-rural grocery store to see so many more masked “ blue-hairs” (I’m 69 but I’ve actually been sick before in my lifetime and actually got well — mostly without ever going to a doctor/my father was a pediatrician btw)— I wanted to ask them all — don’t you remember having measles, mumps, chicken pox and the flu and strep throat and you freaking lived through it — no vaccines or anything but chicken soup and sleep it off (Tylenol didn’t exist so if anything it was aspirin)- I’m so disappointed but not surprised at my generation- most were coddled pseudo hippies or suburban future yuppies while I was working cattle- guiding hunters and living in Gods country
Good point. I have always been in the mindset that overcoming an illness the old fashioned way was the best and only option. A huge part of this pandemic has been purely psychological, and so many have allowed themselves to be conned. Very very sad to see.
We don’t necessarily have to stand tall, but we do have to stand up.

Stand up, Joe!
