The 11th is the eleventh night, there's a big bonfire, music and general pope kicking.
The 12th is a day of a big parade of the orange order and flutebands.
I was once an Orangeman, still loyal to the core but some of it didn't sit right with me, it takes some parts from freemasonry, which is sad, otherwise I'm fully supportive.
I think it's [freemasonry] a gateway to the occult, if you do, believe or say certain things you get invited to other circles. If you are Christian and for the good you remain in the lodge and can do your charity.
The orange is set up like freemasonry but all the iconography, symbols and stories are all biblical, very old testament based organisation.
Very deeply protestant, like you make a vow to never enter a Catholic church or to marry a Catholic. Some do have an anti Irish stance on things but most of them are true to the ideals of the reformation.
They do things like you have to protect your brother's, so you have secret sayings, handshakes etc so people can come to your aid or you to someone's.
I'm strictly Christian, to me the occult is a cult. I understand you get white witches also but even then to me it's taboo. I trust the Bible and the whole witchcraft and occult is not a good thing to be into.
I think God will show himself to the world in a very open and visible way so that we can follow and serve him.
So many secretive groups claim their interpretation or rites is the hidden things of God when it's just falsehood imo.
Sorry for the long reply, it's a couple spiritual experiences I've had as I think you will appreciate them. I understand your curious and the mystery of it all is attractive.
I've had some experiences that was like that. I used to meditate until one day I had a kundalini awakening it was a snake travelling up and down my spine. I ended up in hospital because of it.
I had a ball of energy that can move along my spine and I started to get scared and wanted to sleep and forget about it all, so I put the energy in my stomach, as no way it's going to my brain, genitals or heart.
Some thing happened to my kidneys and woke up in a lot of pain, my body was trembling.
I also had a vision while meditating once, where my vision was sucked into my heart, imagine a vacuum in your solar plexus that sucked my whole conciousness in to it.
I couldn't see my bedroom or hear anything but inside my heart was the sun. It was red and orange like if you looked at it with a filter.
It was the most beaten and oppressed person I have ever saw, it was also the most BEAUTIFUL person I EVER saw and it was scared of me until I told him that I love him and then I shone this most beautiful love thorough me and I was back in my bedroom on the floor.
I cried all night and felt like everything is in God's hands and not to worry. That I knew was Jesus, he was that divine light Living inside of me.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
John 1:1-5, 9-12 NIV
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.
Malachi 4:2 NIV
What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.
Matthew 10:27
