I've been watching all the footage from Ukraine from the start of the war/special military operation.
The Russian footage mostly comes from helmet mounted cameras. Then there is probably a media team that goes through the footage and release what is advantageous to Russia. Apparently Russia forbids personal cellphones for security reasons.
Ukrainian footage mostly comes from personal cellphones. I've seen videos where a soldier is filming his half dying colleagues on the floor instead of helping them - I chalk.it up to shock - I've never been in a warzone.
There's definitely propaganda videos from both sides. For example, Russia show many videos of soldiers entering a recently captured building or village. In reality, sappers would go in first and clear the area of booby traps and mines. We're not always shown that. Carefully managed Russian propaganda.

Just maybe the way they do ‘military’ things in Russia is completely different from the West (USA). Whatever Russia is doing is working.
