We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! With the Lord of all sovereignty behind us, we can be confident that He will ever enable us to accomplish His will.
Help me, Lord, to grow in faith! I thank You for granting us Your power to trust ever more deeply in You!
My two cents:
The account of the same event in Mark 11:22-24 expands on the idea of being confident that your prayers will be answered, which was the main point Jesus was making (verse 22 in Matthew). In Mark, He basically says that because it is true that your faith can move mountains, take the same approach to prayer, believing that the answer is already yes.
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Mark 11:24)
Consider the following three passages in light of that:
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:2-4, emphasis mine)
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him** Amen**, to the glory of God through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20, emphasis mine)
Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:24)
