What do you imagine a church is? Do you still imagine the Roman Catholic "Church" was the original "Church"?

My people didn't slaughter anyone. They were nonresistant to the point of having their families tortured and murdered for their faith by the Catholic Church.
We have our issues but plz don't ASSume.
