I remember when the whole SIDS thing first became a bit news item. They would switch between saying "your baby should NEVER sleep on their back", to "your baby should NEVER sleep on their stomach". I don't remember babies dying while sleeping before SIDS, and before SIDS, there weren't that many vaccinations given to babies.
