I’m the youngest of 7 and I’m thankful I have so many siblings- so many to turn to now that my parents are gone. It really is a blessing even though money was tight growing up. It was definitely worth it - my parents never had to go to a nursing home. We all pitched in during their last years on earth - again another blessing that it didn’t just fall on one person.

Only child here. Took care of both parents. Never went to a nursing home, either. It wasn't easy, but I'd do it again.
