In a Sunday interview on CBS News's Face the Nation (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/adam-kinzinger-transcript-face-the-nation-07-17-2022/), the Illinois representative said that since the hearings began last month, "the amount of information we're getting has just rapidly accelerated."

Among the many stunning allegations that came to light in the hearings is that former President Trump physically assaulted a Secret Service agent (https://people.com/politics/retired-secret-service-supervisor-speaks-out-after-jan-6-testimony/) in an attempt to get to the Capitol on Jan. 6; and that several Republican members of Congress sought a blanket pardon (https://people.com/politics/several-house-republicans-allegedly-asked-donald-trump-for-a-pardon-before-he-left-the-white-house/) for their involvement in the former president's attempts to overturn his defeat.

As Kinzinger explained on Sunday, he expects more hearings to occur once the committee releases its official report — but additional hearings could also occur if the committee gets "the information we think the American people ought to know."
