Glenn later ran away from the intercept (I think that's where he was at) since he didn't have enough "freedom" to broadcast his message.

Imagine if you had a spying network - what happens if information gets out? Why not preemptively leak the information yourself, but keep the worst parts secret?

This would deter any future leakers since it had "already been leaked".
