Real or fake.... It doesn't matter because the habbening caused a huge resurgence in the research community. And, at a time when tons of important shit was going down in tandem I.e. Abortion wins, 2nd Amendment wins, moar Hunter leaks, and subsequently several FF events.

Ultimately, whether legitimate or not, players on all sides took it seriously in real time and the courses chartered by each team since the posts is proof of that.

To answer OP's question though, I'll take a grey area position and say the posts were legitimate in the sense they accomplished their goal: Anon bolstering and cabal panic cause/effect.
