Trump is doing all he can to keep himself out in the public, and by most accounts, people believe he will announce his 2024 run soon. But that leaves me a bit concerned since 2024 is a long way off. While many of us still hold to the belief that he will return before 2024, I fear that many, who don't understand what is going on with devolution, will begin to pivot to DeSantis. Don't get me wrong, I love Ron DeSantis (I have a daughter in Broward County and follow him and Florida closely), and I want him to be president some day, but I believe Trump is the only one who can come in and get the country on the right track, paving the way for DeSantis after another 4 years of Trump after he finishes the remaining 2 years of Biden's term. And Trump deserves to be president. After all, he did win re-election in 2020. Anyone else with thoughts?

Anyone pivoting towards DeSantis over Trump isn't MAGA, the only people I've heard talking about it are normie fair-weather Republican voters who haven't learned their lesson.
I have a shitty theory but a theory none the less. The nominate DeSantis under trumps direction. Trump does a head fake until last minute and puts DeSantis in executive branch. Trump then goes for speaker of the house. Uses his new position to whip congress in to place undermining McConnell and the rest of the swamp.
