So you agree that claiming "fluoride (what kind?) is rat poison" is a fallacy of the same kind?
I'm not saying "fluoride" is anything, but I know enough chemistry and toxicology to realize that details (composition, dose) matter. You can get killed by breathing oxygen or drinking water. All it takes is "enough."
