I have a different opinion regarding parentals. I think they were too indulgent and overbearing.

Indulgent means leinient.

Overbearing means domineering.

Not sure how you could have both, as they seem to be opposites?

Indulgent by letting their kids get what they want…not letting them get “disappointed” or “sad”

Overbearing as in helicopter mom…taking care of their kids battles and struggles for them
