Imagine your body as a pristine engine which functions perfectly. Since you were born you've been constantly exposed to external pollutants which your immune system must slowly learn to handle and dispose of. If you overload the immune system too fast, it throws your body's homeostasis out of whack and illness occurs with symptoms that facilitate the removal of toxins (coughing, runny nose, fever, diarrhea) until homeostasis returns.
Now imagine that you are surrounded by people who are extremely sick and all detoxing and leaving behind some toxic residue wherever they go. Now you come in contact with the same stuff and depending how overloaded your own immune system is, you may or may not have a noticeable reaction and also enter a detoxing state.
I was not surrounded by sick people. My wife got sick from one person who lives a solitary life. She passed it to me and I passed it to my friend in rapid succession. This was from outside. Not inside.
Agree. I think virus can be a signaling for detox which is why it's confused as a transmitter but at the same time the reason they can't prove contagion in laboratory settings. Related to tests they did during the Spanish flu to prove viruses were the culprits but the tests fell flat.
Back in my day, they used to call it the cold. And you had to go in to work and nobody gave a shit if you had it.
So body detox is contagious?
This is how I think of it:
