Trump is intentionally being incorrect about the VP’s role in counting the electoral college votes because he wants the Dems to push legislation that makes the VP nothing more than a “conveyor belt”. That way in any future presidential election a hostile VP like Harris is powerless to overturn the will of The People. Trump knows as well as anyone that the Dems have a knee jerk reaction to do the opposite of whatever he says, so he is saying the wrong thing on purpose to get the Dems to do what he really wants, and they’re too stupid to realize they’re being played.
