I am not a source but in my school days of the 70s all those things were pushed on us. I remember all the talk of the coming ice age and the population explosion, how our food and water would run out. I remember reading a story in a school book about living in a city so full of pollution people had to wear gas masks. Acid rain, ozone holes. I can almost pinpoint the day in 1982 where the narrative changed from ice age to global warming.

None of which came true.

So though not a source, I experienced the full blown propaganda of the left in the 70s and it is what led me down the path to my red pill moment after the assassination attempt of Reagen by the son of a Bush friend and business partner.
