Money talks. Our military officers are making ungodly amounts of money in retirement working for the machine, military industrial complex, as lobbyests to coop their friends in the active military. Those retired generals are used to giving orders to their subordinates and those subordinates are use to taking those orders except those orders are now greased with expensive inducements: hotels, meals, travel, future employment.
